New Patients

Many people who could benefit from acupuncture are nervous about the treatment, concerned that acupuncture needles will feel like hypodermic injections at the doctor’s office.  Acupuncture needles are nothing like that and do not penetrate the skin beyond the top few layers.  Acupuncture needles are very small, generally no large than the width of two strands of hair.  Patients who receive acupuncture report a strong sense of relaxation and well-being after a treatment.

As a first time patient, plan to spend about two hours with us, as we learn about your issues and determine the best course of action for your treatment.  When we meet with you some of the things we are assessing and tending to is ‘are all of the seasons in balance?’ ‘is each necessary aspect of life in place and thriving throughout the day, as well as, throughout the year?’.

After your first treatment you will want to have a relaxing day to enjoy the benefits you receive.

After your initial visit, treatments will last between 45 minutes to an hour.
